Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) says a lot about who you are as a business. The positive effects of building CSR into your company culture pay dividends in staff morale, customer trust and reputation. On a personal level, it’s so rewarding to get involved and work with amazing organisations who make a real difference to people and places every day. At Stuart Allan, we are passionate about helping to support businesses, communities and charities – here are some of our CSR highlights.

WORKING WITH THE BRITISH ARMED FORCES
Stuart has been proudly working with the Armed Forces through the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) as a Business Mentor since 2014. The work of the CTP is invaluable in helping ex-service personnel transition into civilian work life. To date, the CTP has assisted more than 235,000 service leaders through a range of services and partnerships. Through his work with the CTP, Stuart created a bespoke training programme which is available to ex-service personnel who are looking for their next step into a civilian career or self-employment.

SUPPORTING UK BUSINESS GROWTH
Launched in 2012, GrowthAccelerator was a £200 million programme to deliver targeted growth support to England’s most ambitious small businesses. The scheme was a huge success, adding at least £1 billion to the UK economy and creating an estimated 37,000 jobs. Consequently, it was a huge shock and disappointment when, in 2015 it was announced that the programme would close.
In response, Stuart Allan created three mirrored business support programmes, including the same delivery, subsidies, and easy payment terms as GrowthAccelerator. This has enabled many more businesses to access the same essential business growth training and mentoring from Stuart Allan that they would have received in the Government programme.

PASSIONATE ABOUT TRANSFORMING BUSINESSES
As the founder and owner of an independent business over many years prior to its acquisition (and the start of his coaching career), Stuart is passionate about enabling business’ potential and growth. His expertise in transforming businesses has been utilised in business mentoring and training roles with the Manufacturing Growth Programme, Taste of Anglia and the Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea), and as a Non-Executive Director. In 2019, Stuart Allan was appointed as the on-site business coach at the Essex CEME Campus.
