Ahead of an action-packed year, we are delighted that Jeanette Lynes has joined the organisation as our new client manager. Jeanette will work closely with Stuart’s client base across London and the South-East, enabling and facilitating business growth.
In parallel with Stuart’s career in business and manufacturing, Jeanette started her career in London before joining a large manufacturing company as Head of Administration, where she was part of a team that grew the business to international success over 18 years.
“Like Stuart, I have worked in every area of business from the ground up,” says Jeanette. “When you’re growing a business, it’s very much hands on, so I have built my knowledge in everything from finance and HR to contract negotiations and marketing.
“I saw the business grow from a small scale operation to an international manufacturer, through some tough and challenging times. Over eighteen years I set up systems, technology and marketing initiatives and worked with everyone from casual international staff to international buyers. It’s valuable hands-on experience that has enabled me to deliver an empathetic approach to my work in supporting other businesses.”
A self-confessed organiser, Jeanette will support Stuart’s diverse client base in facilitating business processes, finance and change management. After working in finance for more than 20 years, Jeanette is in the process of formalising her expertise with an AAT Level 2 qualification in accountancy.
Jeanette is also a well-known musician, promoterand fundraiser in Essex. She is the co-founder of Tiptree’s Little Scarlett Music Festival in partnership with Wilkin & Sons and is Head of Security and a performer at the Mersea Island Cosmic Puffin festival. Both annual events raise many thousands of pounds for charities including Colchester Hospital, Brainwave, Bliss and St Mary’s Hospital in London.
Another of Jeanette’s projects, Colchester’s Warm & Toasty Club delivers memory afternoons for older folk in Colchester through shared memories, music and laughter. The concept has grown in popularity, gaining funding from Arts Council England and The Big Lottery Fund.
Stuart Allan says, “I had the pleasure of working with Jeanette for thirteen years and to be able to deliver her unique skill set to my clients when they need it adds exceptional value to my service portfolio. Now, as clients present a specific challenge, or need short-term support with finance or processes, Jeanette will be on hand to assist them for however long they need her. She will be a valuable asset to both my business and my clients’ businesses.”
